The shell incorporates multiple layers of advanced constrained layer damping (CLD) within the glass fiber reinforced polymer; this multi-material sandwich dissipates vibration as heat. Because the enclosure is a continuous curve; internal pressure is converted into tensile stress across the skin; this makes the cabinet exponentially more inert than traditional enclosures.
